| Cloudy Eyes? I have been looking at Linus for the past couple of days and noticing that his eyes are kinda cloudy and purple. It doesn't seem to be bothering him though. Any ideas on what it could be? He just had a bad reaction to his rabies shot, could that be it?

| He's only 4 months old which is why I thought that it was weird. My poodle got them when he was about 15 (he lived to be almost 20) and the vet said it was common for older dogs.

| I noticed the same thing with mine when they were young, but I think Txshopper is right on... just puppy eyes!

| all puppies start off with blueish looking eyes and then change color, but if you are worried about itcall the vet...... does it look like cataracts???? (im interested, because blueish eyes are normal, totally cloudy looking eyes are not) |

| They are kinda blue-purple. They don't look like my poodle's cataracts though so I hope it's just puppy eyes. Thanks though I'm glad I was worrying about nothing!

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | Sometimes if you look in a certain light they can seem an off color - but cloudy is a little strange - since your baby is so young - you'll probably be going to the vet soon - That's something I'd ask them to check out - you can call and have a request ahead of time that you want his eyes checked - that way you won't forget cause it'll be on the chart when the Dr. sees you.... |
