| Mosquitos? We are going to our cabin on a lake this weekend. My sister-in-law phoned to say that there are a lot of mosquitoes out there this year. Any suggestions on what I should take with me to keep my 2 little guys from itching, getting bit, etc? |

Bella Boo & Diggy Too! Donating GS Member | Well people say bad things about Advantix...but thats what my vet recommened for Bella when we went to Florida he said the mosquitos were horrible there. She did just fine on Advantix. Thats all I have for ya beside searching on google for a all natural dog safe mosquito repellent?

I did have trouble with frontline on my ferrets though....they got fleas anyway a week after I applied it! I was really upset though cuz Murphy and Willis loved going outside and I really had to restrict thier outside time!

| fleas and mosquitos I have sprayed a smidgen of OFF on my Bella for the mosquitos without any trouble. I am using Advantix right now and it is not working as well as I would like or think it should. She gets fleas 2 days later with minimal outside time!! I was considering trying Frontline.... Mary |

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | on a slightly different note, make sure your pet is on heartworm medication before you go. Mosquitoes are the carriers of Heartworm disease.

| Attach a sheet of BOUNCE fabric softener to their harness or rub over the hair with it. Smells good, won't hurt the furbabies and keeps the mosquitoes away. |

| Mosquitoes I use advantix and it is working fine but Bella goes nuts when I put it on her. She runs around the house rolling on the floor trying to get it off. I am goint to try Frontline Plus and see if she has the same reaction. Jay
