| canidae -need more info on... my post was deleted with my msg so i am reposting... i have 2 yorkies. one was diagnosed with crystals in her urine. we were told to put her on purina vet presciption diet- NF for kidney function. i am wondering if anyone has any info on canidae dog food and if them make a kidney formula food? my other yorkie is also on this nf kidney function formula and she should not be. we just changed vets and are discovering this now. she is going this friday for a dental and her labwork showed her kidney, bunn and liver counts off. a dog eating a kidney formula food when she does not need to. i am so frustrated... when my (old) vet said to switch my one dog she said it was completely fine for the other dog to have this food too. i want to switch to canidae but i don't know anything about it at all. except that it's good. :-) i am afraid to swich my one dog with the kidney issues. maybe she should stay on the NF formula. she is having serious scooting issues and i think this food is the cause of her problems. we had her anal glands expressed and it the scooting is not from anal glands. |

| Canidae does not make a kidney formula. I would do what the vet says. If your instinct is telling you to do something different, I would get a second opinion from another vet. Good luck! |
