| Innova EVO-what do you thinK? I will be very happy to hear from you! Like everyone else, I don't want to feed my best-friend, family member and little boy, bad food! I would break my heart! So... I have been looking carefully at dog foods and was thinking to feed my little boy Innova EVO, instead of Eukanuba.(definately changing from Eukanuba) I based my judgements on the web-sites (below). I was worried about the use of garlic and apples(maybe some pits). What do you think? ingredient list + review: http://www.dogfoodanalysis.com/dog_f...duct=523&cat=8 and www.dogfoodproject.com Thanks, choosing foods is so difficult!

Bella Boo & Diggy Too! Donating GS Member | How old is your baby?? How big? The only problem I see with Innova Evo (which I am feeding my 2 year old right now) is the amount of protein in it. VERY high in comparison to other holistic foods. I am assuming you have a yorkie, and that your baby does not have a compromised liver. Liver problems are so common in this breed I almost treat both mine as they do have a liver problem when I feed them. I fear a liver problem can pop up at anytime and I do everything I can to advoid it. Have you had a Bile ACid test to make sure your babies liver is healthy? Protein directly effects liver so be careful. Diggy is 14 weeks and already had Bile Acid Test, he is fine right now. Bella is 2 and I am going to have one done on her soon. She had a blood test that showed totally normal liver function at 6 months. I am not trying to scare you....I look at it like this....Breast Cancer runs in women. We have to get mammo's every year to check for it. Well Liver problems run in yorkies...its best to also test them periodically. DOesnt mean they have it or will ever get it....I justthink better safe than sorry. Its inexpensive and #1 lets you know your baby is healthy, #2 MUCH peace of mind #3 Can save your babies life. I always love the pap smear results day and hearing ....you test was fine.....not that I think I have anything but LOVE to hear I dont! Wait wasnt your question about food??? lol Evo is a great food. I personally am switching tho. I am looking at Canidea or some all stages formula. Do you plan on getting another dog or do you have mulitples?? If you do, I would look into an "all stages" formula...that way you do not have to fight with keeping your babies out of each others food! I hope this helped....sorry so long but a lot goes into what and how you feed your baby.

| I give my babies regular Innova. I used to feed'em Innova evo, but after a while both of them started to get diarrhea a friend of mine had the same problem with her dog she was also feeding hers Innova evo. After that I only feed them regular Innova and the've been on that for a year or so. That was my experience with that I'm not saying that the same thing is going to happen to you,but after knowing my friend had the same problem I freaked out and switch, you know how we all are when it comes to our babies we don't want anything to happen to them.

| Innova EVO-what do you think? Thanks, I should have that test on my baby! He has just turned 1year old. Is he still a puppy? If he is then this food isn't good either. I miss the U.S.- there are few food choices here! I hope he will not have poo poo problems either. He does now and he is on Eukanuba-we had a vet visit because of loose stools. The vet said the food may not suit his needs. This food(Eukanuba maintainence 1-6years) isn't listed, but their other foods didn't fare well on dogfoodanalysis.com. It contains a lot of grain. So, that's why we are switching...

| Mine get EVO. I checked with the vet first. She said it's high protein because it's all meat! Plus, mine get home cooked stuff and Wingaling so it's not like they eat EVO for every meal, every day. I'm not saying it's the best. I'm always on the look out for a better food. But it's not like they artificially inflate the protein - it's like that because it doesn't contain grains.

Bella Boo & Diggy Too! Donating GS Member | Well luckily you can order any food you decide on through the net. Maybe a pain but it's all available. I agree the test is a precaution test but can turn up things too. Worth it IMO. Yes your baby is still a puppy in many ways but as far as food goes...should be on an adult of all stages food. Larger breeds stay on puppy foor for like 18 mnths to 2 years small switch earlier. Do you have any other furbabies?

| I think it's fine for ADULT dogs, NOT puppies and for dogs who don't have a compromised liver or kidneys. Have a complete blood panel run and if everthing checks out, this food should be fine. |

| Thanks Thanks everyone! All of the information on the food was very helpful. We will get our baby tested. I'm sure he would wag his little tail if he knew how many kind people care about his welfare!!
