| Feeding Question What are all of you homecookers doing about meat right now? Ellie has just had a whole bunch of turkey in her meals and I would like to go back to chicken and start on hamburger. I can't give her hamburger until we get to the meat market because all the stuff in the store is so fatty or do you think it would be okay to give her store hamburger? What grade do you use? I have read something about giving ground round but I dunno. I am leary about giving her chicken right now because some of it has melamine in it and I have no idea if it would be enough to hurt her. Are any of you feeding chicken from the grocery store or will we have to go to the Amish?

| We use ground turkey, ground chicken, ground beef (I drain the fat from the meat), sometimes I change the recipes up a bit and use egg and cottage cheese in place of the meat It's a perfect substitute...

| I would like to give egg but we freeze her meals. Is it okay for eggs and cottage cheese to freeze?

| You can always add the egg or cottage cheese after you take the rest of the mixture out of the freezer
