Dudley is suppose to go to the groomers tomorrow, but is he suppose to have a Rabies Shot before he can get groomed?
We have never had a dog that needed groomed before, so am wondering. When I called and made the appointment to get groomed, she didn't say anything, but did she think I knew already or something?
I am going to call this week and get him in to the Vet for shots.

maybe she just wants him to be up to date? has he had it ever before???

I know places like petsmart and petco will groom puppies, but once they reach a certain age, they have to have proof of their rabies shots. Most places require the paperwork, not just the rabies tag (since it can be easily removed from one dog to another). Maybe someone else will be more help than me.

Dudley is 7 months and has had his shots, just not the rabies yet. I don't KNOW if the groomer requires shots up to date, she didn't say on the phone when I made his appointment, but she might have thought I would know that already, so before I take him, I will call the groomers first.
I would think she would have said he needs to be up to date, should be in their usual appointment making if it is required.

I just took Nathan to the groomers for the first time on Saturday. He is 7 and a half months and yes they asked for his paperwork to insure that he had his rabies shots etc. When I called to make the appt they asked me to make sure I brought proof. I guess they want to make sure that should they get bitten while grooming that they will be okay

When I called and made Dudley's appointment, she didn't say anything about bringing proof, or anything about shots. We just made the appointment.
I am going to call them before I take him since it is a 25 min drive, will save time lol.

That would be a good thing to do!! It may have just slipped her mind!! Good luck with the grooming!!!
