Thanks! |
Bumping this up because I'm worried, as we all are.... I wanted to know if any of you see the change in the Yorkshire 28 ingredients that I posted. Yorkshire 28 so far has not been recalled but if you read my earlier post on this string it seems they have changed some ingredients suddenly. |

Just curious.. Does anyone know exactly how the rice protein is listed on the bags? I am sure it is something other than rice protein. I just don't know what it is. |
Great. ALL 3 of mine have been eating the Royal Canin Sensible choice Natural blend the bag does not include Rice protein. Does anyone know if this includes the Natural Blend I am freaking out. |
Dog food manufacturers have up to 3 months after adding a new ingredient to list it on their bags. Scary, huh? |

I can't seem to get an answer so I will have to keep looking. If I find the answer I will let you know. |
i use RC mini puppy 33 this is still safe right? |
I feel like screaming right now! I don't have my yorkie on Royal Canin but I was about to switch him to that yesterday! I did not buy it only because it was a 17.5 lb bag. IT was not one of the ones listed but it is a prescription diet. I don't know what else to do. I just feel like I'm playing "Russian Rullet" Cookie is on Hill's dry food /low protein for now until I can get him the Royal Canin Hepatic LS. Now I don't know what the he#!! to do . As I read the title of this thread I had a lump in my throat.I went to a CNN site and I seen a picture of a yorkie named Pebbles that died after eating some of the tainted food,I wanted to cry. I wondered how so many different pet food companies could be having the same problem. It seems that they already made a connection from a Chinese distributor that sells the wheat gluten to many pet food companies. I still don't feel satisfied with this update. Scientists are baffled because they say the only way these pets could die so suddenly would have to be VERY HIGH levels of that Melamine and the food does not contain high enough levels. It has to be something else also. I have a new addition to our furbabies and I'm scared for him. Genie,Cookie ,Lola & Angel |

I just feel like bawling right now...Miko is on RC Hepatic LS 14 and it is not on the recall list, but it is way too close for comfort. :( I"ve had it with pet food companies... |
Yorkieluv, Iwas thinking the same thing already. I didnt even get to buy the RC Hepatic LS only because they only carried the large bags. I don't feel any safer because Hill's also has some foods listed. I temporarily put Cookie on Hill's adult food with low protein because it was the only option of low protein available where I am.They are looking for wheat gluten, rice protein(rice gluten) I don't see that on this bag of Hills but there is Corn Gluten in it. Reports from Africa say that their Corn Gluten is contaminated but non found in the US so far. I don't feel safe anymore. This is sooooo wrong what is happening. Everything is pointing to deliberate contamination. From the scientists reports that I've read they strongly feel this was deliberate because when the food was tested it makes it appear that is more rich in in certain nutrients But it's NOT! They could make more money like this but at what price? This really sucks Genie |
