Yorkie Yakker | ![]() I had read, previously, that someone was using carrots bits for treats - so I tried it. Maya LOVES the carrots as well as celery, broccoli, apples oranges. Dogs ARE omnivores, afterall, and these treats are not fattening. Maybe Graysee would like to try them ![]() On another note, since you wrote me such encouragement about her behaviour...she has TWO new teeth in and is the sweetest little pup again...it has been a wonderful two days. How many teeth do they have to cut? |

YT 2000 Club Member | ![]() I just read alot of complaints about Blue Buffalo dog food. I am taking my Yorkies off this food and do not know what to change to. Innova is supposed to be good. Science Diet I am leary about. What do you recommend? |

if you want to go commercial, i can only recommend what i have personally used and found superior which is Fromm and Orijen. ps: if you switch do it slowly, mixing new food with old. 1/3 new 2/3 old for a week, then2/3 new with 1/3 old for a week, then all new. another site said this Day 1 – Mix 20% of the new food with 80% of the old. Day 2 – Mix 40% of the new food with 60% of the old. Day 3 – Mix 60% of the new food with 40% of the old. Day 4 – Mix 80% of the new food with 20% of the old. Day 5 – Feed 100% of the new food. peace ohh and science diet..not so good Last edited by cherryblossom; 03-07-2013 at 05:24 PM. | |

| ![]() Yes, Diamond is pretty generous with their samples. I have tried several foods made by Diamond but a couple of my dogs don't do very well on anything made by Diamond. I finally stopped trying their foods altogether. We tried Diamond Naturals, Chicken Soup, Premium Edge, Taste of the Wild, Kirkland, and even Wellness and Solid Gold. None of these foods made by Diamond worked for my dogs. I finally ended up going with Fromm and Horizon foods. My dogs do well on both of these foods.

BANNED! | ![]() Oh, well I will be sure to have my dogs try those too ![]() What a great idea it was to list all these companies! Why spend the money if the pup doesn't like it, gotta love samples! Last edited by Beth Boofa; 04-26-2013 at 10:39 AM. |

YT 2000 Club Member | ![]() My Yorkies are still on Blue Buffalo. They seem to do well on that food. No problems. Yesterday I went in the pet store and saw Fromm, Innova and others on recall. Just be aware of the recalls so our precious Yorkies do not get sick. |

| ![]() Fromm has never had a recall, and neither has Horizon to my knowledge.
