| Nutrical I done searches and didnt get the answer I am looking for. I have a tube of Nutrical with an expiration date of 2/07 it still looks good and smells normal. Is it ok to give a new puppy? She's 11 weeks and will be here Friday. The reason I'm asking is I went to two pet stores and either its ordered or the shipment came in and it wont be on the shelves until Friday. Thanks!

| I would have no problem using it...it does not go bad. Expiration dates are a guideline, not an exact measure of time. |

| I don't know, it's a tough call. If you want to play it safe, go with Light Karo Syrup. You can easily find that at the grocery store. Congrats on the pup. Have lots of fun with the little one!!!

| I know with medicine that after the expiration date the medicine is still good even up to 6 months. I think that it will be ok to use. I would use it, it has only been 7 days since 2/07, it can't go bad in 1 week. |

My Tiny Treasures Donating Member | I only have 1 bottle but I could put some in a baggy and you could bring something to clip the edge of the bottom of the bag and give it to her that way? I could put it in the kennel somewhere. She LOVES it so she should take it readily. I never seen a pup love it so much, she just goes crazy! I'm giving her some everyday and she'll get it just before she leaves too. Let me know !!! |

| How much Nutrical is good to give a pup? I give her a tiny drop on my fingertip about 3 times a day. I've noticed when I give it to her she starts to pant more though and feels really warm. Quote:

| I never give Hannah this. Is this something I should be giving on a regular basis. I thought that it was just for hypoglycemia.... |

| It is still good and I'd have no reservations about giving it to her. Give her about a dime size two or three times a day. It's used when they are taken to a new home or any kind of stress, and if not eating really well. |

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | nutrical is sold as a vitamin supplement but its really just all sugar. its good to prevent hypoglycemia in puppies or sick dogs and its good if your pup hasn't eaten for a long time. i don't give it to morgan and never really have. she just made it to 4 pounds and is almost a year old. its not necessary to give nutrical to a healthy dog with no problems. so i wouldn't give it to hannah if she's never had it. it does cause diarrhea in some dogs.
