My furbaby loves to eat apples and pears. I read on here that many of you feed their furbabies different types of fruits as well. I know grapes are dangerous for dogs to eat but which other types of fruits are harmful to dogs?

I do not know the answer but my dogs love peaches and pineapple!

Jo and Riley love apples, bananas, cantelope, watermelon, strawberries, honey dew melon and probably others but these are the ones I can think of right now. They also love just about any vegetable you want to give them. They eat baby carrots for snacks and they each just had 2 green beans for a little after dinner treat.

just dont give them grapes....they can be toxic to dogs

raisins and grapes are all I know that is bad. Mine love peaches, strawberries, and mellons

Ours like peaches and banannas.

Grapes and raisins you know to stay away from, but also avocados are toxic to dogs. My pup loves carrots, Granny Smith apples (without the skin) and mango (I buy it frozen when not in season). He also likes just about any other fruit I try him on -- except bananas, which he will spit out.

I had heard not to give skin, but I DO give the skin from apples, anyone know the reason for no skin, or is it ok.

Archie's Mom, thanks for letting me know about the avocados. I had no idea that was toxic to dogs.

Siara28, when I give my dog apples and pears I always peel the skin off. I read somewhere that the skin of fruit is bad for dogs.
