| I'm starting Lilo on Nature's Variety raw food. I went and got some of Nature's Variety Raw frozen medalions ( one bag of organic chicken and one bag of lamb). I took coupon with me so I got one bag ( 3 LB) for free. I'm planning on starting it tonight after one of the medalions will defreeze enough. Does any one of you feed raw diet to your yorkies? Any advices?

| There's a few of us that feed a raw diet and a couple (including myself) use the Nature's Variety brand. | I feed mine raw as well, and it is the BEST diet there is IMO. Not sure how old your baby is, but if you have been feeding your baby kibble before, it is a good idea to add some probiotics to the raw food to help the digestive system adapt to the raw diet. I have used Nature's variety, but mostly use Bravo brand. The key to a raw diet is VARIETY- I feed a core of chicken and turkey with beef, pork, lamb, and venison mixed in throughout the week. Nothing is more beautiful than a clean, healthy dog with a shiny coat and nice breath! You can also look forward to fewer, less smelly poops! Check out this website-I order my food form her here in Houston, but she also has a lot of good information on the diet in general http://www.healthypetboutique.com/servlet/StoreFront |
