Operation on Wednesday :(
 
I posted in the main forum before about Lucy having a lump on her neck and we thought it was her microchip, but it got bigger over the last couple of days so we went to the vet yesterday. She looked at it and said its not the microchip, but she thinks is is a skin tumor :( She is having it removed wednesday morning and sent to the lab for analysis. Please keep my baby in your prayers that all is OK, Im sure it will be but it never hurts to ask!

Prayers on the way
 
We will be sending prayers for you and your pup. I was reading an article not too long ago on skin lesions and lumps (for humans though) but I imagine the statistics would be very similiar and it stated that only 3% are serious. Take heart, with all of us praying your furbaby should be fine. Love and kisses, Benni and Garett and Sake the cat.

We will be thinking of Lucy, we always are! As you know me, SImon and Hallie are very fond of her and will hope and pray that she makes a speedy recovery! Please let me know how she is, she is very special to us ;) Puppy kisses to Lucy

Lucy thanks everyone for their love and says that she is fine, its her mum thats more worried! lol. As soon as I know anything on wed Ill let everyone know. Im sure it is nothing serious but I still worry :rolleyes:

I just knew it was the microchip, glad you had her checked!

She's young and you caught it early, nothing to worry about! She be just fine. Give her a big squeeze from Lily and I though.

We took her in this morning and stayed with her while they sedated her and she went to sleep, then left her with the vet. I felt so bad leaving her as she hates the vets so much! Anyhow, we got a call from the vet about ten mins ago, it was all ok, she is waking up from the general now in her bed and we can pick her up this afternoon! Yay!! :animal-sm The lump has been sent off for analysis and we will find out the results next week, but it definately wasn't the microchip as she scanned her after the lump was taken to check.

I want to thank everyone for their support and prayers, you are all wonderful :love:

I hope baby Lucy is feeling much better today and on the road to recovery. I know it will seem like a long wait to get the results from the biopsy but I know the report will be good! Keep your chin up! Lucy ... Toto sends "smoochies"!!! :animal-sm

Thank you!!! And I hope so, maybe not today, but tomorrow Im sure we wont be able to stop her :rolleyes: Im gonna give the vet a call in about half an hour to see if we can pick her up yet, I miss her so much!!

Oh by the way Kim, did you realise we have the same birthday??!! I was looking through the calander and thought it was kinda cool :D

I didn't know that we had the same bday! You are the first person I've ever known and shared a birthday with! Yay for November 28!! I also wanted to let you know that Simon and Hallie are getting their summer cuts next Friday and the groomer has all of Lucy's pics (and loves her)! I will post pics as soon as I get them done! Let me know when you pick up Lucy!

Its cool isn't it! I know loads of people with birthdays the day before and day after but never on the 28th! Im sure Simon and Hallie will look gorgeous with their new cuts, mind you they are such cuties they would look good in anything! ;) Make sure you take loads of pics, I cant wait to see them! Lucy was due to be cut again today, but we have had to move it, so she will just have to be a little longer for a couple of weeks :animal-sm

chewy and i send are best wishes for lucy. i know its difficult when our babies are hurt or sick. just continue to love her...kiss and hug her...i feel that it will help her as well as yourself get through this tough time. you are both in my prayers.

She's home! We picked her up about an hour ago from the vets, v grogy and sore but OK thank goodness! she has a two inch ish incision on her shoulder area on her right side but it looks well stitched. She is now resting in the sun which eventually came out. I think she just wanted to smell the freah air :animal-sm . As soon as I know the result of the biopsy I will post, but vet seems to think it will be all ok, phew!

Im relieved too! She has just had her first meal in 24 hrs, some lovely chicken and she is now asleep infront of the fire (yes it is that cold!) She isn't happy though, Ive had to put socks on her to stop her scratching it, which she hates!

Im so happy that Lucy is back home and that the surgery went well. I will keep her in my prayers for the biopsy results be in her favor. :) Gucci sent huggies and puppy kisses.
