| mer1007 | 11-02-2006 02:08 PM | Thanks everyone for all your advice. I have read online about different dog food brands and went to some pet stores and they said the same things...that Eukanuba and Cesar Puppy are not really good brands. I bought a couple of cans of Merrick Puppy Plate wet food but when I went to get the dry food today they only had the really big bags and the bites looked a little big for Bella. Anyway, the woman at the pet store recommended Solid Gold Hundchen Flocken Puppy Food, which she says is just as good. And of course she said to mix the two (Eukanuba that Ive been feeding her and Solid gold)first especially since I am going from chicken to lamb.
So I guess my question is can I still feed her the Solid Gold once I get her used to eating it with Merrick canned food? Or should I try to stick with one brand? Does it matter that Merrick is made with chicken and Solid Gold with lamb? The Merrick will really only be used to get her to eat more of her dry food because already I can tell she loves wet over dry. |
