Pounce Cat Treats Do any of you let your dogs have these? If so, what are the after effects? I would imagine they are not the most healthy treat, but how bad? I try to give a variety of treats and, therefore, don't give too much of any one thing. Any help or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated. :) |
Dogs shouldnt have any cat food whatsoever because its very high in protien and can cause pancreatitis. I dont know about cat treats though |

My little Pilla loves those treats also...maybe more than the cats do!! I asked my vet about it, because I didn't think it would be too healthy either. He told me one or two is ok, but no more than that. Same with the cat food. Our poor fur babies.....so deprived!! |

I looked into cat treats because they are the perfect size for training treats, but I also found that most of them have a protein content of 30% compared to dog treats like Pup-peroni only having 19%. Cat treats also usually contain a lot of liver which isn't good in large amounts (liver is actually on the do not feed list). I just use the Pu-peroni and cut them into pieces - still not great ingredients, but the first ingredient is beef and no by-products. I also use baby food chicken weinnies cut up for training treats. Cereal is also a good treat. |
i dont feed my puppy anything that i wouldnt eat. im organic all the way and the vet has been using oscar as an example in our town of what organic diets can do for your animals. hope you consider it! |
