| Help with my babies diet! I am new to the site- I am happy that there is a site for our little cuties! My little man lazer is almost 7 months old. usually give him less than 1/3 cup eukenebia(spelling?) in the morning and then 2 tablespoons of newmans organic brown rice and chicken for lunch and dinner(that is a total of 4 tablespoons). is that too much??? my guy is 3.5 lbs, the breeder told me he will go up to 7 lbs, but he told me to feed him 1 teaspoon for lunch and 1 teaspoon for dinner. thats it. my vet told me that might be a little amount, and a couple of books i read said to feed him twice a day, 1 tablespoon per pound. my baby is a toy breed, so i wanna make sure i am not overfeeding him. someone please help |

| breakfast, lunch or dinner? Bogey is 8 1/2 mths & weighs 6 1/4 lbs. He has always had his food available to him 24/7. He now eats 1/3-1/2 cup Eukanuba once a day. Don't be worried if you offer more & he isn't interested. They eat what they need & no more.

| I also free feed. I have never met a yorkie that will eat more than it needs. Just feel your little guy's body and if you cannot feel the ribs at all, then he is getting too much to eat and you should cut back. If you can feel his ribs when you pet him, but you also feel his little tummy on the sides, then that is the perfect weight. If you feel his sides and all you feel is ribs, he isn't getting enough to eat and you should feed him more. |

| I have to watch Piper. She will eat hers & Misha's food if I let her. I think she has a bottomless stomach. |
