My furkids Donating Member | ![]() Morning YTer's! I am picking up Lillie Jean at 10:00...I have a couple of questions.... I have read a few threads hear on hypoclycemia...Although I knew about this I never had a problem with Sadie. I bought some Nutrical and am buying some Karo this morning. Should I give Lillie Nutrical everyday? How much and how often. And Should I put Karo in her water everyday...Again,...how much and how often. Like I said I never really worried about this until I read so many posts about it...Just want to make sure my furbaby is going to be ok...I'm sure it is going to be stressful for her, especially today leaving her Mom and coming into a strange house with a new fursister that probably isn't going to care for her too much... Thank you all for you help!

| ![]() I never used the karo syrup but I think you just put a couple drops of it in the water. You could put sugar in the water instead. The nutrical I just squirted out a little bit and let them lick it off. I did that 3 times a day untill they hit two pounds then I quit giving it. I always have some on hand though in case they get sick then I give it to them.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | ![]() Nutrical can be given as needed depending on how small she is. I still give Cali Nutrical when she is stressed or seems a litle under the weather ansd she is 13 months and 4 1/2 lbs. Cali had 3 episodes of it so I am extra careful now.

Just give Lillie the nuturi cal vitamins every morning and keep an eye on her for the obvious signs. I am sure she will be fine, Don't be scare, what happened to Gucci was baffling to doctor because she grew to be over 8lbs...We always have to be on our guard with these little furbabies.. Good luck with Lillie" | |

| ![]() Congratulations! I know you must be excited beyond all words. Have a safe trip and I can't wait to see pics. I always keep Nutri-cal on hand. My rule of thumb has been to give just a "dab" (or a lick off the end of the tube) in the mornings and evenings for puppies. I also give a dab to anybody who just doesn't seem interested in eating.....for some reason it seems to increase the appetite. On the other hand, if you give too much Nutri-cal, it will interfere with the body's natural hunger mechanism and she might not "feel" hungry. Relax and enjoy Lillie and if she plays really hard an acts like she has just run completely out of energy, then give her a dab. |
