| Age of first season/heat??? My Lily is 6 months old. I have read in my Yorkie books that the first heat is usually between 6-9 months? What have you all experienced? What did you have your lil' girl wear? I saw some cute doggie diapers on ebay today. Thanks for any responses!

| My oldest girl had her first heat at 17 months. My middle girl had hers at 16 months. A lot of others have theirs sooner so I guess they can have them anytime.

| Princess went into heat like 11 months.. I got her a little jean fabric diaper.. (thats the only style they had at petco) Sometimes you don't have to let them wear it all the time.. they usually lick the blood away when it comes out =P Be sure to put some towels on things you don't want blood spots to be! |

| Thanks for responding! I didn't know some were so late, late bloomers I guess! Good suggestion about the towels too. Are smaller dogs later do you think? Lily is not real small like some, she's a good 5 lbs. A perfect size!

| Mine is over a year no and she still hasn't come into heat. I'm wondering the same question, what is the usual time frame for a female to come into heat? I'v been waiting but nothing yet.
