The itchys and allergies in general can be exacerbated by the vaccines they get. |
Where can I get Missing Link supplement? Ralphie has very itchy skin, especially behind hid ears.. |
Gloria, I've read several threads where people contribute RC to itchiness. If you haven't been feeding it long, it may possible that it isn't just one thing but a combination. What does your vet say? |
My Shelbie itched until she bled, I tried everything they sold. I researched on the web and finally put her on Eucanubah dog food and Frontline for fleas even though I did not see them on her and it completely stoped! |
My best friends yorkie did the same thing too and it was a flea allergy. even if you don't see fleas, all it takes is 1 flea to bite her to get the allergy to act up. Frontline worked for my friends yorkie too. |
I feed Eukanuba too and also use Frontline. So far Lily has been in good shape. She'll scratch on occassion but they can do that without having a flea can't they? I know I don't have a flea when I scratch. |
I dont think Gucci has fleas beacuse we dont take her outside to potty. We live in an apt building so we use the pee pads. The times she is being outside she is inside the carrier or someone is hodling her. I checked her just in case and i only saw her skin a bit flaky. I will try the suplement thou. :aimeeyork |
I have been feeding Royal Cainin-- and lots of itching.. I am in the process of switching to Wysong Anergen, which is a nice small size and all natural. Recommended by Sandra Lemire "Yorkies Head to Tail". author. Also I am looking at the Missing Link Supplement-probably will order tomorrrow. |

hi yorkie-girl what is missing link supplement? sami poor baby is constantly scratching thanks :) |
Missing link is a supplement that i have found very helpful for dogs with dry, flakey, dandruffy skin and who itch. I know for a fact that it works on Oreo because I first started on him when he was at his itchiest stage and very flakey. and in a matter of a few weeks, it cleared up perfectly (and in combination of a great diet - i recommend innova). I recently took Oreo off of Missing Link and lo-and behold those flakes are bacK! and they are back quick too! So I know for a fact they work! Missing Link is a powder that you add to your dogs food. It has a chart on the back of it to show how much you put on. although at the time oreo's weight wasn't on there i only gave 1 teaspoon full. you can find it at petco, petsmart or your local pet store! i hope it helps! |

yes it's okay. I know of a few people who used it on their pups who had allergies or were constantly licking/chewing their paws. they put them on missing link and all of it stopped. Oreo's skin is also blue/black lol. but thats how bad his flakes were! his body was covered with them. |
