But I can relate to you about not eating. Sometimes Baby doesn't feel like touching her food, and the next day she gobbles it up! Maybe b/c she's hungry from the night before for being too picky to eat. LOLOL But, I know she's not starving. ;) She's a chubby 10lber and get's treats from mommy. She's just picky. Like mother like daughter. :D |

The best pet food website I believe is www.petfooddirect.com. They always send me coupons for 5, 10, 15% off! And they deliver fast. That way you don't have to go searching for a store or drive far. It'll come right to your doorstep! :D |

Meeko gets Eukanuba Puppy Small Breed Formula. He loves it. We tried the Eukanuba Natural Lamb & Rice Puppy formula, but he didn't like it so much. |
Organic Organic Organic Dry Dog Food 1 Attachment(s) I always feed Organic foods and just last month found an Organic dry puppy food called Wenawe Organic Dry Puppy. Its put out by Della Natura in New York and i think its the BEST of all dog foods i have ever found. I am like the FBI of food labels research. Its all HUMAN GRADE ingredients and was so impressed with its clean Organic ingredients that i now am trying to get it into stores in California. If you would like to try it i will have it at the SFmeetup in AUG or call me for info on how to get it sooner. I wouldn't use anyother brand if they were FREE FOR LIFE thats how impressive this food is... TO ME and my YORKIES |
What brand dog food for weight loss? I have been reading several threads on foods and I am totally confused. I have tried weight loss foods prescribed from my vet and saw zero results. I then put Reese on Wellness lite and found that at the beginning she did very well and lost almost two pounds. I took Reese to the vet today who told me that she doesn't like Wellness. She feels that Wellness has too many vegetables in it and not enough of the other things that dogs need. That they do not have enough meat and other nutrients that are just as if not more important as vegetables. She told me to put her on RD hills which is far less in calories and is more balanced. When I went out to pay my bill the receptionist/nurse told me to get Reese IAMS that it is the same as the other prescribed dog food that they recommend. I cant think of the company but it was another weight reduction food. I listened probably like a fool and went to buy IAMs weight reduction, even though I could have sworn that it is a sub quality food. I didn't have my glasses and these 47 year old eyes couldn't read the label for the ingredients. I got home and sure enough the first ingredient listed in Corn meal which I thought was very fattening. They do not list their caloric intake but I can only imagine. My vet seemed to think that RD by Hills was like a Jenny Craig weight loss program vs. Wellness and more well rounded. Please someone help. The more I talk to other friends (not yorkie moms) and vets I get so much conflicting information. I am not concerned about cost, I just want her to have a quality food and keep her weight down. Any advice would be helpful. Thanks so much. |

I too feed Royal canine but after that website I am switching to CANIDAE. I have to go to the feed mill for deer food so what the heck. Thanks for all the great advise... |

That sounds like a great product! I'll have to try that somehow. When is the SF meetup? I'm in the southbay. |

This post has really confused me, lol. I normally feed Royal Canin as well, but I think it makes my yorkies itch... so would Canidae: All Life Stages be a better alternative? If so, I know this might be a stupid question, but if I get that does it mean both my puppy and adult dog could eat the same kind? |
