| My mother does because she likes to see Baby play in the dish and try to take the water out. I'd rather put a little crushed ice in there. I think some people might be a little nervous about their furbaby choking on the ice. But, I guess you can say it's similar to other things like rawhide, you know? You just have to be extra careful.

Our Blessings R Many Donating Member | I let ours lick ice cubes and always take some with us when we go out on these hot days, but found it was too hot for me to go during the day so just doing my shopping in the evenings now I never let her have one to chew on for fear she might choke on it. I recently was told to help cool a dog on hot days to wet there feet and there chest and it will cool them down quicker. I notice you are in Calif. too, Patti and Baby Blessing |

| I give all my dogs ice cubes. It is just like giving a child an ice cube you have to supervise.

| When I put water in their dish theyact like they are bobbing for apples I give them icecubes all the time though. Tank carries his to the couch and lays there and chews on it. He acts like it's a bone or something. Anyway, mine love them and they have never had any trouble with coughing or chocking kind of noises, or anything of the sort so I'm sure they are chewing them well. In fact when they hear me getting a glass of ice they both come and "sit nice" to get their cold treat. |
