Help! She's not well
 
:( CoCo is 12yr. old female who might have kidney disease. Vet is running test now. Any suggestions for keeping her healthy? I am sick with worry. :eek:

I'm so sorry to hear that Coco isn't feeling well. I pray that she is okay. I have no information on kidney disease. I'm sorry, I wish I could be of more help, but know your baby is in our thoughts and prayers.

Aboslutely. There are so many Yorkie Lovers here who will understand your heartache. I'm sure we will all be praying for your baby. I'm just so sorry you are going through this hard time.

Thank you for your reply! How wonderful of you and I appreciate your kindness and puppy kisses from Maddie! I appreciate the input. Never did this before, but it's my Yorkie so of course, I am willing to take a chance. :)

Your quite welcome hun, How is she doing? I do so hope she feeling much better and that it isn't kidneys. I know how it is I dont have twelve years with Sydnee but it seems like she has always been a part of me. I am fretting over her teething and not feeling well and once again God steps in and shows it could be something worse to worry about and to quit thinking of self and think of others.

Has the doctor given you any clue on the prognosis?

The only experience we have had with kidney problems was a mis-diagnosis in Toto! She is much, much younger than Co Co ... when the vet said it appeared to be a kidney disease, my husband [nicely] asked that he run the test again and he did and it wasn't kidney disease at all! We will be praying that Co Co will be fine soon!! Please keep us updated.

I am very sorry for her and understand you because I am waiting news from the vet for little Zsa Zsa who was hospitalized yesterday . As soon as I arrived to the hospital , the vet tech took her to the E.R. room . I am feeling very sad and afraid of loosing her .

Hi! Sorry to hear about your baby! My late Scruffy (RIP) had kidney disease. He lived to a ripe old age--5 years longer than the vet said he would! He ate KD prescription dog food and baby carrots for treats. No protein--EVER. He would get sick if he happened to steal Gracie's food. In fact, everytime we had his teeth cleaned I was afraid the anesthetic would kill him, but he was always the first of my three to wake up and want food! We used to call him the Timex dog!

How is Coco doing ? I truly hope the little one will be ok . Very stressful this situation . They are so precious to us , we never want them to be sick .

Thank you for your info. We will be getting a second opinion as soon as the vet returns my call. CoCo has not improved yet, but we will keep a close eye on her and get other opinions. Glad to hear your husband asked to have the test repeated. We did the same thing and now we are waiting for the retest results. Thanks again.

I am so sorry to hear about ZsaZsa and the ordeal you are all going through. Kisses and puppy love from all of us. CoCo is still waiting for her test results. Not a happy little puppy. We are all very sad and will keep your ZsaZsa in our prayers.

Thank you very much . Zsa Zsa have a little problem with her heart and her kidneys . If all go well , she'll be back home tomorrow but she'll be on medication for a long while .

Really hope the best for Coco . Don't forget to take care of yourselves , this is a lot of stress and can be very hard on us .

You will be in my prayers .

Thank You!!! I gave CoCo baby carrots tonight and she loved them. I am soooo happy to see her enjoy eating again! I am forever grateful. Thank you again and again! She is still waiting the Vet's reply. But I wrote down the dog food and picked up those wonderful carrot treats!

I was so sorry to hear of ZsaZsa's problems. Poor little sweetheart. I shall keep her in our prayers.
Also, can you tell me how you post a picture of your Yorkie on this website? I only joined yesterday and I am not familiar with the proceedure.

Thank you for your concern. She didn't have a good night. Bowel control (bad) and the vet called this morning and said it is kidney disease. I need to go there and get perscription dog food, vitamins and of course continue praying!!

I spoke to my NY Vet today and he thinks the test were not extensive enough. :confused: He suggested additional tests to come to the conclusion of kidney disease and not some other underlying problem. I have great confidence in his judgement. :thumbup: I will keep him posted.
Also, called another Vet. here, and have an appointment on Monday.
I just wanted to thank everyone on the web site for their support, information and prayers. You are all such wonderful people!
