| Wosie is out of surgery! Well, one thing off my plate, HOORAY! Wosie's spaying went fine, and the vet tech says she is awake and aware, but not very active right now. She mentioned that Wosie had a significant drop in body temp during surgery so they used the electric blanket on her, and she is now resting on heating pads in the crate. SHE'S ALIVE!!!! Man, I just could not have taken it today of all days if anything had gone wrong with this surgery... If she doesn't get up and around by 5, they won't let me take her home tonight. Dang, I want to go get her NOW... Thanks for all her good wishes on the other (what I now consider my "whine bag") thread. You people ROCK!!

| Glad to hear she is out of surgery. I hope she is back to her old self soon. Sophie was drowsy when we went to pick her up but when she saw us she perked up.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Great news! What a relief to have that over with. When Cali had her big surgery they couldn't remove her baby teeth because her body temp dropped and they wanted to bring her to. She was fine though they did keep her 24 hours after surgery since she had other procedures done.

| Yay, glad to hear all went well! I know the feeling - they kept Sully for a few hours after he had his surgery too - and man he looked the groggiest thing I've ever seen when I picked him up, LOL! Wosie, we're proud of you, girl! Lots of hugs and kisses to you!

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | they don't keep a heating pad under them while they're doing surgery? that's bad new for little guys. they are on a cold metal table with cold/room temp fluids going thru them. they should be on a heating pad at all times. i know that's how it is at my vet |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | OH GOOD !! I'm so glad to see this thread and give that baby a hug when you can for me....a little gentle one and hang in there mom - You get to spoil and pamper her when she gets home- that'll get your mind off things....I don't know what a temp drop means but it sounds like the vet is on top of things....GOOD LUCK ! |
