Hi everyone! Lexy is ok! She has either round or whip worms! The vet said this is why she had the bloody stools! She weighs 1 1/2 lbs. today at nearly 14 weeks old. Vet said the worms were irritating her inside because she is so small. She was wormed before I got her but the vet said the wormings must be done within 3 weeks of each other to get them all.

Anyway, I'm all grossed out about it, but they gave her meds to get rid of the damn things!!!! I'm treating Cinder as well (lab/dobie mix) just in case!!!

I'm glad to hear that it's getting taken care of. The thought of worms grosses me out too - you're not alone!

glad to hear she is ok. nala had tapeworm and it was really nasty!! her brother that my friend bought had roundworms and hookworms really bad!! but both of them are ok now. the medicine will get rid of them in no time and if she's on heartworm prevention it has a "dewormer" in it as well.

Oh...good to know Lexy is better...hopes she gets rid of these darn worms soon

scrappy had them about a month ago . they are gross the meds will take care of them . glad shes ok
