| Weight Bailey, my 5 month old Yorkie, is weighing in at 9.5 pounds! Does anyone think this is a little much for a yorkie? He's purebred, but Im starting to think he's a silky instead! |

| Some of the YT members have some pretty big ones. They did a poll a while back and I think the largest was 21 pounds. Did the breeder have silkies also? |

| According to the yorkie standards, a yorkie is not suppose to get over 7 pounds. However, I have seen yorkies that get much bigger, and yours is only 2 pounds over so I woulden't worry about it unless you are showing him or breeding him. It just means you have more of him to love!

| My JacJac is supposed to be 5 lbs but is pushing 7! He just loves to eat! He's almost as wide as he is long! My Beanie (the bean-pole) is only 3.2lbs and a lot of people think my chubby JacJac is cuter! I love my teacup and tea kettle yorkies either way...they're still adorable to me!!

| Kristen - Your dog looks like my dog's twin brother. My dog weighs about 8 1/2 pounds - maybe more. And, really, like everyone said - our dogs are only a couple pounds over the AKC standard. I don't know about you, but I am totally in love with my dog's size. He is so healthy and playful, and I don't have to constantly watch him or worry about him at all. I think you and I have very handsome little Yorkies. Carol Jean |

Donating YT 14K Club Member | He is cute. You have to remember that the original yorkies were like 15-18 pounds and since they have been bred down, throw backs can happen. You dog looks like a yorkie to me but is probably just a larger one. I know of a yorkie here in town that is 14 lbs. and she's all yorkie!
