				   | I give my 9 month puppy a bath once a week. Someone told me if you bathe your dog too much it dries out his natural oils and then his hair will fall out. Is this true? How often do you guys bathe your dogs? |

				   | I wash Bailey every 2 weeks with a quick washcloth bath between major baths. I also use CC products and spray to keep him smelling fresh between baths. Hope this helps.

				   | I think every 2 weeks is good and to use a product that remoisturizes the skin.

				   | We've been bathing Punkin every week even though the vet said we shouldn't. She really smells icky after 7 days. Looking through the dog section at the library they had an older book on how to choose the right puppy for you. On the Yorkie page it said that they need to be bathed once a week. That's the first time I've seen that in a book - although it was from 1987. |

				   | Paddy's hair guides the bathes around our house. She has the longer, 3/4 coat and can only go about 10 days before she is smelly (ok, she probably isn't THAT smelly - but Mom sure does love when her girl smells pretty ). Kenzy has the shorter, coarser coat and could probably go weeks without a noticable difference. But they all get scrubbed at the same time, teeth brushed, ears cleaned, and doggie foo-foo spritz...their groomer says their coats and skin look healthy!

				   | Thanks. I guess it is OK to bathe him once a week since so many of you do the same and haven't noticed any problems. |

				   | After asking this same question myself awhile back, I now bathe Ginger EVERY WEEK. We're both happier. also, in Yorkshire Terriers for Dummies: A Reference for the Rest of Us! it recommends on page 158 that your yorkie is bathed weekly or bi-weekly "depending on how dirty your dog gets" |

				   | I am glad to hear many of you have gotten good results after weekly baths because my little one does start to stink after a week. What are some good shampoos you recommend? |
