				   | Difference between a raw diet or Home cooked? He is still a puppy ...7 months. If you do either please post suggestions and some easy recipes please! I'm thinking of switching because he is so so picky. Also if you use raw and order from a company...please post the company. Thanks in advance!

				   | If you home cook you need to make sure you get a recipe from a vet nutritionist and that you use a supplement like balance it.

				   | If you raw feed and they don't get the kibble how are their teeth. Also I've come to the conclusion that mine only eats once a day. He is still a puppy but not too active as I am disabled. If I'm feeding a good high protein kibble doctored up....with a little raw that comes in a tube to make it more enticing. He eats usually eats 1/2 to 3/4 cup in the late afternoon. Is this enough for him....he weighs 12lbs.? Thanks

Hard to say what is enough for your kiddo, as you know his body condition - just feed to condition, adding and subtracting until you find the right amount.

				   | I use a bit of high protein natural kibble and mix with raw food from my kitchen to make it more fun and interesting. My father was a veterinarian and we always gave our dogs food from our kitchen and they all lived healthy to old age. I give high quality kibble because is convenient but I think fresh food is healthier, so i always mix it. Fruit, like apples, pears and berries. Salmon, egg, or meat. Vegetables, like salad, carrots, cucumber. And I add a tiny bit of organic coconut oil and linseeds. |

				   | I home cook for Wookie. She has home cooked food morning and evening, but we also leave a bowl of kibble down for her to graze on while we are at work. She isn't a greedy puppy, and when she is full will leave the rest of the food in her bowl. This morning she had chicken with sweet potato, green beans and peas, and tonight she will have pork with rice noodles and broccoli. Once a month I have what has become known as 'Wookie-cookie Day', when I spend the morning cooking all of her meals for the month, which I then portion up and pop in the freezer. |

				   | When my dog is in a puppy stage I feed him eukanuba medium breed puppy food my vet told me about this and this is really a good food for me and I trust this based on my experience. But you know sometimes I make some homemade dog food for my kids because I know exactly what kind of ingredients I put in their food while I cook it, you can search some article about a healthy homemade dog food for your dog too. You know what special about this because you only choose the fresh ingredients and without preservative added, the most important about homemade dog food is that we serve their meal with our tender loving care when we cook it. |

				   | Thanks everyone! I have started feeding the Honest Kitchen grain free...it's dehydrated and you just add water and he plumes right up. So far he loves it and I can tell a difference in him...energy etc. and it's only been a couple of days. So please keep your fingers crossed. It's all human ingredients...that's what I got excited about. Thanks for everyone's input.

				   | We switched to a raw diet. It's been a week now and they absolutely love it. I have two 12 week puppies. I know this is the best way for them to eat. As a figure competitor, I didn't realize what one feeds to their dog is the same as one eats as a human. Everything comes down to diet. Once again, diet and health goes hand in hand. I'm glad I made this decision. We are on Primal, but I have Vital Essentials coming from Amazon. ~ Rhea |
