Paris is almost 7 1/2 months and weighs 2.8 pounds. My understanding is growth pretty much stops at 8 months. If this is the case, she will be around 3 pounds, BUT...she is a very healthy lil girl. She just got fixed (to small to breed said my vet) and had 7 teeth pulled. The first day when she came back she was sore, but the next morning she was bouncin' like nothing happened. I had to limit her activities because she was a wild woman. Standard is at 3 months double the weight, or ask the breeder how big the parents are. It will give ya a little estimate of how big she might. Paris's parents are both 5 pounds and the dogs in her litter are about that now, but she just is the small one of the pack. |
Sarge is 2.8 lbs at 16 weeks. P.S. I'll measure his age in weeks until he's 15 yrs old probably.lol. |
My Roxi is 12 weeks and weighs 1 lb 9 oz. She recently took a growing spurt and gained 11 oz in 10 days. The only thing about weighing babies their weight can vary greatly depending on when their last meal was!! We are talking ounces. |
Banjo weighed 3lbs at 14 wks- he is 6 months and weighs 9lbs- much bigger than I ever thought he weigh! The vets that just did his leg surgery said he was realy close to be done growing! I figure when he gets over all this and starts playing again he will stay 9lbs- he does not look like 9lbs to me?? He is very stocky!! |
I just took Isabella to the vet yesterday for her 2nd shots and she is 3 months and weighs 4 1/2lbs. One of the books that I bought Yorkshire Terriers for Dummies said that you can get a good estimate on how much your puppy will weigh as an adult when its 3 months old just double the weight..So I'm guessing Isabella is going to be 8 1/2 lbs when she is full grown. |
Not sure I agree Quote:
Sometimes puppies grow faster and weigh more earlier....so she could actually level off and NOT get to be 8 lbs. It depends on her heritage.... I know my gal is an early grower and has leveled off after 5 mos.....I just hope for 5 lbs, so she can show. |

Zoey I just got back from the vet. I knew Zoey was big, but she weighs 3 lbs. at 9 weeks old.  I am trying to sell her honestly, but the first question everyone asks is "How big do you think she'll get?" Her mom, Porsche, is right at 5 lbs. Her sire is around 4 lbs. Harley, the little male, is about 1.5 and is already sold. I wonder if I am going to have King Kong on my hands. Of course, I love her already, so if she didn't get sold I wouldn't mind too badly.:p |
my puppy is 14 weeks or 3 1/2 months and 1.8 pounds or...1 pound 12 ounces.. according to the yorkie growth chart she will be 3.5 pounds full grown. I dont know if that will be true thoug because the only thing really growing much on her is her hair. |
Xavier is 18 weeks and weighs 3.6 lbs as of today. I hope he stays within the 5-7 pound range but who knows???? |
My little Kayla is just over 4 lbs and all of her siblings are over 8 lbs. She was the biggest for the first 10 weeks then everyone out grew her. I actually had her tested for everything in the world as she just stopped growing but at 11 months she is very healthy. Now everyone says "Oh I wish I would have got her" as she is so tiny and cute. I'm so glad I kept her!:) |
Recently Abby has been gaining about 1/4 lb every week. She weighs 1.5 lbs at 7 wks and 4 days old.:aimeeyork |
17 wks We had Mariah at the vet Sat. She was 17 wks old and weighed exactly 2 lbs. |
