I love it! Life for teeth rocks! Hey all, I just bought Life for teeth maybe a week ago and have been using it for maybe a week. I definately can tell the difference already. I am really glad I bought this product! I bought the combo set with both spray and gel. I do find that the gel is easier for the little ones since the spray when I tried it kinda sprayed into their noses a little. I also have big dogs too and I used the spray on them and it worked well-bigger mouths. I did spray the spray on the chews too and that was fine. Gosh if I can already notice a difference in Milo's teeth - he had terrible tartar for only being 9 months- this is great. I think you notice the difference faster if they had really bad tartar build up like Milo does. Yes, and it was $40 but worth it, since I rather not put the babies under anesthesia for a cleaning at $250+++$. And the Leball is way expensive for only 1 spray. I give it a  :D |
I just began using it on an almost 3 year old Yorkie that I just got. I took before pics and will take after pics in a month. I noticed a reduction in bad breath almost immediately. I have yet to open the gel. I get help from someone and then I fold a wash cloth over their eyes so I don't accidently spray some in because they do flinch when I spray. They don't seem bothered by the taste at all. It says to remove water 30 mins. before and 30 mins. after application so I'm not crazy about adding it to a food source, but that is what it says. |

I got mine from Toby's Natural Pets for 39.99 for both the spray and gel and the shipping was free. You can also get it at Petzlife (the maker), but it is a little more expensive. http://www.tobysnaturalpets.com/petz.htm |
Mine don't really love the peppermint taste..it makes Lucy sneeze afterwards sometimes but they are getting their teeth clean! So yeah! :) |
Thank you for posting about Life for Teeth. I just ordered the gel. :thumbs up |
I have both the spray and gel, too. I just got them last week. I thought too it was a little expensive, but then I got one of my dogs teeth cleaned for $191.00 and all of a sudden $40.00 doesn't seem too bad! I tried brushing my mini schnauzer's teeth with it and I could hardly get the brush in her mouth. I should have started when she was a pup. so, I will just try putting the gel inside her mouth. I am going to try to train my yorkie to have her teeth brushed since she is still young enough to learn. (i hope) you don't have to use a brush but it is supposed to help even more if you do... omega |

finger. They had a product called Maxi-Guard in a jell form, they weren't familiar with anything like what was mentioned here. Who did you order yours from? We had great news this morning went in to have Baby Blessings baby teeth pulled but then they rechecked her, said, "she can go home she lost them on her own." Yippee, was that ever great news to me, I dreaded the procedure of her beng put under to do it :( After reading your post maybe I should get the rubber finger brush for her, they said for little dogs it is good to use it and it massages their gums and keeps them healthy at the same time. Sounds good. Have a nice evening. Patti and ~~Baby Blessing~~ PS on the way home I stopped at Pets Mart they had a new product out it is a bone with the brushes on each side at each end and you put the tooth paste on the brushes, it was $14.95 maybe when Baby Blessing is a bit older I might get one of those. |
Thanks for all the info. I will have to order this stuff. Those who started it earlier please post updates with pictures! Nancy |
I have a question. I can't afford to buy both the spray and gel at the same time, so which one should I buy first???? |
Patti - I tried a finger brush and didn't like it at all. It didn't seem to brush well enough and it was a little big for Pixie's mouth. I got a soft bristled baby toothbrush from Walmart. IMO, it works A LOT better. I brush Pixie's teeth twice a week with Denta Clean Tarter Control Mint Toothpaste and then every night before bed I rub a little bit of the Life for Teeth gel on her teeth and gums... She's a year old today and doesn't have a hint of tarter yet (at least not that I can see!). Her teeth are sparkling white and her breath NEVER smells! |

I've been using this product for probably 8-10 months and Maddie's teeth were fine when I started and they still are tartar and plaque free. My daughters yorkie, who is Maddie's brother, hasn't been using it and his teeth are yellow in places, so I know it's working on Maddie. There was a post not too long ago about people being disappointed in the product. I am still pleased as can be with the stuff and will continue using it. I mostly use the spray, but also have the gel. I guess I was under the impression that the gel was to brush the teeth with. My sister got a 2 year old dog with all kinds of plaque and tartar on the teeth and started using the Life for Teeth and they are so much improved. I think the stuff is awesome! |
thanks I was going to have issabellas teeth cleaned on the 23 now I can cancel I just ordered it thank you |
I am gald everyone else has the same opinion of getting teeth cleaned as I do....I am thinking of trying the gel on my 6yr old Yorkie who has not had his teeth cleaned yet. I was planning on making an appointment this Sept. but will try this product first. But I one thought.......has anyone given any thought to the chemicals in this product can they over time be harmful? Anyone? Plese keep us updated as to progress. Thanks Tina :aimeeyork Pucci :aimeeyork GiGi |
