I FINALLY Got an Answer about Dog Food!
 
Today I went to the only Pet store in my area that actually sells the "good" dog food. I already feed Baby Chicken Soup b/c this is the only thing I've found so far that she liked (she doesn't care for Nutro). Anyway, I went into the store and took a can of Wellness, Canidae, Innova and Merrick. I said to the guy, "Okay, I've been hearing a lot about these foods and how good they are. I feed my Yorkie Chicken Soup now, but I'd like to experiment with others. Seriously, which do you think is the best?"
Well...I got an answer!!! He said, "Well, Chicken Soup is a good food, there's no denying that...BUT, I would have to say 100% that Merrick is the best and I'll tell you why. The others are like a paté (spelling?). With Merrick you can actually see every piece of chicken, potato, etc."
He sure the heck was right! Baby gobbled up the wet Merrick's and the dry. She went for the Merrick's dry before the Chicken Soup!! So, I've decided I'm going to give her both since she likes them both. I'm so excited!!! :D

really? I feed Zoe Wellness but I think I'm switching soon. So tell me if Merrick's good. DRY

Baby seems to love it. And the guy was REALLY nice...he gave me 3 free samples of Merrick's Puppy Plate, 1 of Cowboy Cookout and 1 of Granny's Pot Pie (all dry). All those foods are for "All life Stages" so it gives Baby a variety. I give Baby dry food all day, and a little wet at night. Well, she had a lot of wet tonight b/c she really liked it. I bought a bag of dry puppy plate and a few cans of wet puppy plate. You have to see the wet. It looks like real chicken! :)

Now, I don't want you to think Wellness is bad. He didn't say that. He just recommended Merrick's. And I told him..."Yeah, that's all good. Merrick's can be the bestest dog food, but if Baby doesn't eat it, it's the worst!" But, she likes it, so I'm happy.

I want to find soem of that so bad. Chachi and Jewels dont like their chicken soup. They will only eat cesars moist and thats not a real good food. I have heard so many good things about this food. I have one specialty pet supermarket that I am going to look for it tomorrow.

I started Cali and Maya on the Merricks pot pie wet yesterday and they both ate it, which is a miracle. Cali has been the pickiest eater I have ever seen. I am still mixing it with chicken breast until I gradually switch then to all Merricks. I had tried the Mericks Puppy plate but it was a little too wet and bigger chunks of chicken, the pot pie is perfect. I am keeping my fingers crossed that I can get them both eating it full time. The pet store my nephew works at sells it and it comes in small cans, which I prefer, he said most people buy the pot pie.

I just bought 3 small cans of the puppy plate just because it said "puppy." I wanted to test it before I went nuts. I'm gonna order a whole bunch of different kinds for Baby to try now that she likes it. :)

I can attest to this. She housed that Merrick food today.. I was shocked. You would have thought she hadn't eaten in weeks!

AWWW man i want some for my pups.So exciting,so many different kinds.I wonder if there is a pet supply plus that carrys that stuff.It is 12 midnight and i want to go to the store now.Thanks alot guys :eek: now i am going to be thinking about this all night.I cant get Neo to eat ANY wet dog food.I wonder if he might try this.

You can go to their website and order it. I'm gonna do that from now on b/c I'm lazy and don't want to go to the pet store! :eek:

I actually just got the Puppy Plate b/c it said puppy. But all the food (except the senior blend) is for All life stages which is cool. I'm gonna buy the 8 cans on petfooddirect that has 8 different kinds. I like that I can give her different tasting foods. :)
