| Questions to vet Would you long time yorkie owners help? I get my puppy April 23 and I am beginning my search for a vet. Would someone please help me make a list of good questions that I should ask the vet. I know after I get the puppy I will have questions but I would like to screen for a vet now so that I will be comfortable when we get ready for the trip to the vet. |

|

Are they are familiar with toy dogs and their special needs?
What are their prices for visit fees, shots, spaying/nutering? Make sure they are reasonable for you.
Are they available for emergencies?
Do they use isoflorine for anesthetic? (that's good) If they use Halothane or any of the barbituates, I'd keep shopping
That's all I have for you for the moment - I'm sure everyone else will have better ideas!

| vet The best way to find a toy-smart vet is to call show/hobby breeders and ask who they use. Good Luck |
