| Does anyone use Wellness Core or Blue Buffalo healthy weight dry food? We are wondering if we should consider trying a weight reducing food because our baby has increased from 10 to 12 lbs over the past year or so. He eats Taste of the Wild - always has - and is a happy nine year old. He has energy, but he does have a tummy now and does some snoring at night, which can be caused by excess fat. |

| YT 2000 Club Member | Since he is a senior, I am feeding my 9yr old yorkies Fromm Gold reduced activity and se ior dry food. Protei. Is 23% and fat is 11%. I also feed them a few tablespoons of Fromm turkey and pumpkin pate which they really like. Fromm is good high quality food,. |

| What did yours eat before being a senior - still Fromm's? Do you have an opinion of Taste of the Wild? What ours has been eating has 25% protein and 15% fat. It is grain free though. Thanks! |

| I have never served either dog food, but with one of my Yorkies, I would give her about 6 green beans with her food so that she would feel full but have less calories. It worked for her.

| Thanks! We have been serving green beens for a long time as a treat and with food - maybe about 5 or 6 daily - mixed with food and alone. Still concerned with weight, particularly in cold winter - he is paper trained. What food did you use before the Fromm senior type? |

| If they are doing well on their current food you might want to just look at reducing some of the food. Blue Buffalo is not a good food and it has made a lot of dogs sick. The problem with Wellness core is it’s grain free and grain free has been linked to heart issues.
