| Yorkie Talker | My 17 week old little has been on the same food as the breeder had her on (4 Health Puppy Grain Free) but lately she seems more gassy and soft stools occasionally with diarrhea and vomiting. She acts fine and plays otherwise. Could she now not be tolerating this food now? What food do you think would be best for her? Vet has recommended Purina Pro Plan but I have heard very mixed reviews on this food. Not sure what to do. Please help. |

| Did your vet give you a reason for her soft stools and diarrhea and all? Would think he would want to see why this was happening to her. Did he say what he thought Purina Pro Plan would do for her that would help with her problems? I know Purina seems to be realizing they need to change their foods as their old formulas were not all that good but I do not know anything at all about Purina Pro Plan. Joey was having similar problems years ago and he ended up being put on some prescription food and has done better with it. Hope someone will answer and help you out in knowing whether or not to use the purina pro plan or what. Best Wishes for you both.

| I doubt it is suddenly the food. Could she have gotten into something? Are you giving treats or edible chews?

| Did you take your vet a stool sample?

| Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Sudden gassiness, vomiting, and diarrhea - in the face of no other changes is definitely not related to the food you've been feeding all along. It means something is wrong with her and she really needs to see a vet ASAP. Bring a stool sample (a recent one) with you so it can be sampled.
