| This is what I'm feeding my two puppies. They seem to love and and are doing well on it. I guess I'd just like reassurances---my vet says it's a high quality food. The food is Holistic Select and I purchase it at Hollywood Feed. Last edited by lpt; 03-29-2018 at 04:05 PM. |

| I would make sure they have a vet nutritionist on staff, do feeding trials and have good quality control. Those are much more important then ingredients.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Mainly - the proteins are fish, chicken, and chickpeas / peas. There are a LOT of fruits in it - which is odd to me. It also has digestive enzymes and a few strains of probiotics BUT my question for their staff would be "how are you ensuring those items even survive, living in a bag of kibble, so that they reach the dog's small intestine still being potent?" It's a nice fish/chicken food, but not sure you'll see any benefit whatsoever of the additives that you're paying a premium for !

The guaranteed analysis of probiotics and enzymes is supposed to be for the food as fed, so they probably add them in a coating after the cooking process. It also meets AAFCO feeding guidelines for nutrients. If I have time, I'll check them out in greater detail to see their reputation and whether they have a nutritionist on staff. Edit: This is a premium brand from Wellness, and is manufactured in their Mishawaka, Indiana plant. Yes, they do have veterinary nutritionists on staff, great quality control, and I have nothing but good things to say about them.

| Here is the link to the page with information about the company: https://www.holisticselect.com/discover. If you watch the video, you can see that it is manufactured in the Mishawaka, Indiana Wellness plant, and that it is owned by the Wellpet (Wellness) company. I've already had extensive correspondence with them and they have veterinary nutritionists on staff, conduct feeding trials, and have excellent quality control. Since I'm already feeding Bella regular Wellness Core Grain Free Small Breed Adult dog food and she's doing well on it, I might check out their Holistic Small Breed Adult if it's not too pricey.

| Wow! Thank you for all the great news---you guys truly are the best! Are you certain you don't secretly work for Wellness? Thanks again and I'm glad your yorkie is doing so well on their food, too! lpt |

| I don't work for Wellness, but most people agree that they are a good company.
