Donating Yorkie Yakker | losing teeth my smallest yorkie has lost half of her teeth; I hesitate to keep giving her dry kibble. She's been on Eukanuba all of her life. I have tried Cesars and she loves it, but I wonder how much to give her and what other Yorkie owners think. She weighs about 5 pounds. |

| You could moisten the kibble so it softens up and will be easier for her to eat.

| The softening up sounds like a great idea. I have always suggested a gradual change in diet. week 1 75% old 25% new...week 2 50-50....week 3 75% new 25% old....week 4 100% new....you need to let their sensitive digestive system get used to the new food.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | You could either moisten her current kibble - or - switch over totally to a moist food - either choice is really just fine ! Moist may act as less of a choking possibility...
