feeding How often do you feed your yorkie? I feed her three times but she is already 6 lbs at four and half months. I called the breeder and the parents were 5 lbs. so she is overweight? When do they stop growing? Thanks

BeanSprout weighs 5.5 lbs and he is 15 weeks old. I bought him because I wanted a healthy Yorkie. His mom weighs 7 and his dad weighs 6.... I feed him 1/4-1/2 cup of Lamb and Rice Eukanuba 2 times per day. I am switching to Innova, but I am going to wait a month or so to get the potty training thing down. Follow the guidelines on the package or ask your breeder about feeding guidelines. How big is your puppy supposed to get???=

i feed archie twice a day, but he only really eats his substantial dinner at night. As for his size, he was 6 1/2 lbs. when I got him at 4 months old and didn't stop growing. He's 1 now and about 11 lbs. i'm not sure about his father's size, but I know that his sister is only 3lbs. I don't think you can tell from the parent yorkies, though...

| My Max is 6mos and weighs 5.5lbs. I feed him 1/3 cup twice a day. He doesn't eat all at once. Sometimes he will eat a couple of bites and let the rest sit for hours before he goes back to eat the rest. So he has food all day long which makes hit hard to take him out to go potty. Should I leave the food out for him or should I start taking it up once he eats a little? Suzy & Max

I think at that age/weight, you would be safe to feed twice a day instead of three times.
