When I add fresh foods like chicken to my boys' kibble, they drink less water because of the moisture in the chicken.
Same with humans -- a lot of our water intake comes from the foods we eat.
I do praise my boys when they take a drink from their water bowl. Switching to a glass pyrex bowl and keeping the water really fresh also encouraged their drinking. We put out a clean bowl daily and add fresh water a couple times a day. |
