good people food Ok relating to my last post, I noticed alot of you feed your yorkies fruits and vegetables, what kinds do you feed them? I was just wonderin so I can see if my lil one likes any of them so if he does eat people food I know its good for him! thanks! |
baby carrots my guys love them :D |
Good People Food! Mine likes; cooked eggplant, mushrooms, onions, green beans and sweet potatoes. Honey tangerines, apples and blueberries. Tuna, salmon, chicken breast, lean beef and hard boiled eggs. Oatmeal, yogurt and low fat cheeses. He is very active during the day, seven days a week. I discussed this Diet with my Vet. and he said as long as they were fat free, no sauces or even seasonings and very bland (to the average person anyway) he in fact recommended the Salmon @ least twice a week. He also eats Royal Canin, when ever he wants, his milkbones as snacks, and Nutri-cal daily some days he will eat alot, some days hardly anything or just his kibble? But he is picky....if he has eaten Salmon today, he won't eat it tommorrow, he gets bored easy. |
onions are very very deadly to dogs !!!!!! do not feeed ur dog it |
Onions!!!! Okay here are some links I found regarding oinions as poisionous to our babies! Please don't feed them to your baby! http://www.ahts.net/PoisonFoods.htm http://www.resq4paws.org/dangerousfoods.html http://www.jlhweb.net/Boxermap/onions.html |
NO ONIONS NO GRAPES NO CHOCOLATE.... thats poison for dogs i DONT give Chelsey any candy that we would eat... she has her own treats!! they are made for doggies and their systems.... She gets a small piece of apple, peer, banana, cooked green beans, fish, chicken breasts ... remember NO salt! Now to be very honest.... i give her SMALL amounts of the above because i REALLY DONT think we are doing our babies a favour with too much mushy food, they have their dry food that is balanced out for them, its MUCH better for the teeth as we all or most of us do know that yorkies tend to get bad teeth at an older age so make sure ur baby gets enough denta stix to clean teeth and gums if u dont brush the teeth daily. In our house its routine to brush the teeth once a day with a toothpaste that is on the market for dogs, they come in different flavours and my baby loves her teeth brushed. Remember, never give them any citric fruits and no cabbage like veggies!! Fruits are healthy but never too much. |
do not feed raisins either! |

Archie likes cheese, carrots (cooked), green apples, hard boiled eggs (he eats the yolks first, then the white), yogurt. |
In addition to some of the above mentioned, my girl gets cottage cheese and she also really likes banana. |
Stewie ate a green grape on Friday that I dropped on the floor. I had no idea it could have been toxic to him so I let him have it... yikes |
I've heard conflicting reports on grapes and raisins...most articles I've read say it ok...one article said it wasn't...I would ask the vet. |
My Hailey really really loves cheese!! |
Nuts? What about nuts like cashews and almonds? I saw that salt is bad but was wondering if anyone has had experiences good or bad with different kinds of nuts? Otherwise we feed Bailey bits of carrots, bell peppers, cucumbers, bits of lettuce, but recently learned about how bad grapes, raisins, and onions were. We used to feed him the equivalent of a grape or two but that has stopped. Regards to all, Samc |
Is cheddar cheese okay? If not, what kind of cheese, my little one loves cheddar cheese, his hard boiled eggs and bananas. |
