| Puppy shots Hi everyone, i am new to YT and I am currently in the process of trying to get a puppy...i was just wondering however, what are the shots needed for them? i read that you have to give them to your pup at 8, 12, and 16 weeks. And does anyone know the price range for these shots or does it change according to the vet you go to? Thanks alot. |

| Nelly is now 5 months old, she has had her shots up to now. My question is do you give them their shots every year after that? I heard sometimes dogs can have reactions to these needles, it was not proven, but my dog has had seizures since she was about 3 years old and I was told that they could not guarantee me that it was not from the needle. So is everyone giving them their shots or are they stopping at the 16 week needles. By the way, to the person who wants to know price. I live in Canada and I usually pay 50 dollars a year for my dogs regular shots but I assume it varies from vet to vet. |

Yorkie Lover Donating Member | Magic's one year shots are coming up and we are defintely planning on having them done. Yes there can possible be side effects but the benefits far out way them. We will always give our girls there shot and unless it is proven not to!!

| I was also wondering. My friend bought a dog from a pet store, by the way, I did call him off for it because I heard they get their puppies from puppy mills, anyway, before he bought the puppy there was an outbread of parvo there. His dog seems fine and is getting its last round of shots today. Is it OK for his dog to be around mine, I told him not to bring it around until he was sure, I know it is mean but I do not want my dogs to get sick, has anyone had this experience before, if so how long should I wait before letting them play. I might add that his dog is not showing any signs of illness. |
