When do new teeth come fully in??? Hello All, I have a male yorkie who will be turning 6 months next month. I would like to neuter him when he's 6 months as I am not planning on mating him. Question - when do their baby teeth fall out as I plan on having any remaining baby teeth pulled at the time of his neutering. Also, how can you check if they have started to fall out as I can't tell. All I see in the top are the 2 side incesors (kinda look like fangs) and then small tiny teeth in front. Please let me know your thoughts.

It is probably best to let your vet check--ours didn't charge for looking and using that to decide a good age to spay Gracie and remove her 10 or so (!) remaining baby teeth.

Ah ok thanks. I didn't know they can tell at what age based on how the teeth look now.

| Hi...My Remy is going to be 9 mths old and he still has some baby teeth. They are slowly but surely falling out. I just noticed yesterday when I was brushing his teeth that finally one of his top front tooth fell out. It was loose for a few weeks. The other one has not fallen out yet but it too is loose. I believe it just depends on the puppy. Best of luck!

Let me clarify. The vet was making sure that the "adult" teeth had come in so that she could remove the baby teeth. For a while Gracie had doubles, but they didn't want to remove baby teeth before the permanent ones came in. Our granddog, a 9 month old shihtzu, is being neutered tomorrow. He is still not a problem (no females in his world), so while I am all about avoiding unwanted litters, it is okay to wait until they are a little more mature--at least in my limited experience.

Ok thanks. Funny as I tried checking his teeth again more carefully and found one bottom tooth missing and I also think a top one as all.

Hello All, I've been checking my pups teeth and it's funny because all of his front bottom teeth have fallen out now except one in the middle. So he looks funny when I pull his bottom lip down. There was 1 tooth very very loose, and I just move it lose and it came out. I'm not sure about his top teeth yet though. I will keep checking those. So, if the bottom have come out any ideas how long til they grow in?
