| Jerky Treat Update Better late than never- Right??? RIP Zoey. She was in a news story last month related to the deadly jerky treats. It was on NBC news/Today show!- Mom was interviewed http://www.today.com/video/today/55225821#55225821 http://www.nbcnews.com/news/investig...s-safe-n107571 Thankfully, it appear Petco and PetSmart have finally taken note and they will not be selling ANY China made pet foods by early 2015. There is a petition on-line to get Target to follow suit as well and remove/stop selling the products! http://www.change.org/petitions/targ...s-from-china-2 Nestle/Purina has settled one of the lawsuits against them over the horrible jerky treats that killed Zoey. No word on when they will actually make good though. http://veterinarynews.dvm360.com/dvm.../detail/846216

| That is terrible. I don't buy any treats now made in China and only types I have been using before all these recalls. Dentleys brand is what seems safe and all I buy now.Makes you afraid to give any store bought treats. I always feed mine raw people meat so no worry there I hope. |

| RIP Zoey... We don't do any dog treats since I learned about your Zoey. We do veggies and fruits and human baby type snacks and cookies. Why is it taking till 2015 to stop selling this crap? They pulled it off the shelves once a bit ago, and then it came back. They got it off the shelves quickly the first time.

| If I had a dehydrator (which I may someday get for our family again) I'd make my own jerky treats. These days if it isn't the quality brand commercial foods it's making it yourself. I try to buy made in america treats after all that scare, but I use to see made/packaged in america but process elsewhere or something X.x;

But if I had I probably would never have been as vocal about these horrible treats as I am.

I personally have never been a fan of rawhide. I have seen/heard about too many obstructions risk it myself. I do hope you monitor when you given them.

| About time! They need to pull them all off the shelves in all stores...better yet, DON'T buy any dog treats. Make your own, that way you know what's exactly going in there.
