So she writes and sells her own articles. I'm even less impressed, because they are not peer reviewed. Now I'm going to have to check out her peer-reviewed articles and see what her area of expertise is. Thanks for the heads up :)

I think you should just ask her....I have asked her questions and she always responds promptly.

But...let me ask you this: Who's information about dog nutrition would you value most...the DFA or Dr. Remillard?

Attacking Dr. Remillard isn't going to in any way validate the DFA. I could care less what your impressions are, or what your reading reveals. I've done my own, and know this doctor, and I think it would be out of line for me to just say you are embarrassing yourself.

Okay, so I had a chance to peruse some of her peer reviewed articles. Her area of expertise is home cooked diets. She wrote a few text book chapters. One of her articles on home cooking is actually extremely well-written, and it contains precise dietary guidelines:

Homemade Diets: Attributes, Pitfalls, and a Call for Action

It's behind a paywall, but you can probably access it for free at your local library. If I were doing home-cooked meals for Bella, I would definitely print it out and refer to it frequently.

I DO have problems with some of her pronouncements on commercial dog foods, and I'll post more on that later, since it gets to the heart of the Purina/Blue Buffalo controversy.

I would actually pick and choose the best advice from both. They both have good points, and they both have flaws. More on that later when I have more time to write. I'd give the bulk of the credit to Dr. Remillard, especially on home cooked meals, but I have problems with some of her other statements. Again, more on that later.

She was talking to me, LOL! And I didn't attack Dr. Remillard or attempt to validate the Dog Food Advisor (took me a while to figure out what she meant by DFA). They both have good points. People REALLY need to think for themselves.

Look, I never said I LOVED anybody !! I merely SAID I had respect for the guy. I don't care if you disagree with me, I understand that no one agrees with everyone all the time. That's no reason to make someone feel small or embarrass them in front of other people. I'm NOT the idiot you three wanted me to look like I am. I've had Yorkies since 1982, I owned, bred, trained, competed in conformation and obedience and am an obedience instructor and have been for many years. I'm a former professional groomer and have worked in an animal hospital for over 22 years. I STUDIED NUTRITION for dogs longer than veterinarians do in college, yet you ripped me a new one and I don't understand why. Because you've been here longer than I have ? Well woopy do ! Pin a big red rose on YOU !!! :) To megansmomma, please stop sending me private messages, I will block you !

Her expertise is in clinical nutrition for sick animals. She also is very well versed in what commercial options work for those animals. If you have problems with her pronouncements on dog foods, then you don't need to follow what she says.

Who ripped you a new one? Who embarrassed you? I really cannot even believe this tirade. This cannot make for a good morning for you. I hope you can just move on with your day. I don't think anyone here is an idiot. As for megansmomma private messaging you, she is sometimes very anxious to secure new friendships so I think you may have her wrong.
