We really don't think it's a food allergy. He's been eating Natural Balance LTD foods for a couple of years with no problems. I think she's going to change his shampoo and see if that helps. I told her not to change everything at once so that she can figure out exactly what's causing the itchies.
| I agree, and bc you said it flares worst after the groomer is why I suggested bathing him first. Using a conditioner following a people shampoo will negate the pH issues, and if people product is all that is on hand, it would be okay just to remove any residues from the groomer's products. But if the bath doesn't help, I'd get him to a vet dermatologist as the others have suggested. Benadryl is just a band aid at this point. |
