| Time for Food Change???? Coco has been on BB for many months. She is 4 1/2 years old. I have been noticing that she picks out the life source bits. A while back she did this but then stopped and now she is doing it again. I honestly don't think she was ever crazy about BB but she finally accepted it. We tried RC for a short while and she didn't go crazy over that and then we tried Canine Caviar and she was NOT having the CC so we sent it back. We also tried BB Wilderness and she wasn't wild about that one either. She may sound like a picky eater but when it comes to people food, she's not. She loves her green beans. I haven't really thought too seriously about changing her food until just recently. So, I'm not sure where to go from here. I've read several comments regarding Acana and Fromm and Orijen. I guess what I'm wondering is what seems to be the "favorite" for your babies?? I really want her to LOVE her food. Thank you |

| I do recommend Orijen and Acana to friends who wish to stay on kibble, they are a great option. There is also, premade whole cooked food and raw available out there. There is also cooking for your dog yourself. I would do a bit of research into this too and if you know of a dog nutritionist it would great to get their advice. A Review of the Best Books on Home-Prepared Dog Food Diets on the Market - Whole Dog Journal Article Raw and Natural Nutrition for Dogs: The Definitive Guide to Homemade Meals by Lew Olson ? Reviews, Discussion, Bookclubs, Lists some references for you. I know of a few raw food brand that I see recommended on her by many of the raw feeders on yorkie talk Primal Raw, Stella and Chewies and Natural Instinct are brands I know of in the US. |

| Would try Royal Canin Yorkshire Terrier they a lot of science goes into there food unlike a lot of the holistic brands out there. It is also made for picky yorkies. Mine who is very picky loves it and has done amazing on it.

| I hear Wellness brand is also very good. I had gotten a can "stewed lamb and turkey" for my two current jacks and they went nuts over it (the older one kept searching for it after she was done). I also planned to put my future yorkie on the Wellness Core diet, but bought small amounts to see how it works out.

| My girls love their food... no matter what it is, I've tried many many foods, and am so lucky they seem to love them all. They also love green beans and lettuce, and just about anything else. I will say though that they have done the best on Wellness, and various formulas of Solid Gold, and even the Nutrisca (grain free/chickpea) that I had gotten for Meika with diabetes. I do notice less paw licking with the grain free products, but have not figured out exactly which is best.

| My pups also do well on Wellness products...Teddy did great on the Wellness Core Ocean formula and I've used the Core Reduced Fat formula with Toki when she needed to lose some weight in the past...I've also used the Wellness Complete formulas and many different types of their canned food. Definitely one of my favorite brands at the bigger pet stores. |
