| Double dews! Found out Logan has double dews. I've never had a dog (of any breed) with double dews before. I know it's fairly common and just comes from a recessive gene, but has anyone else had a pup with double dews? Vet suggests (since his are so curved and high-risk for injury) that we have them removed while he's under when he get's neutered. That's not happening for another few months so I'm curious if anyone knows- what is the recovery like for this kind of thing? and in the mean time, should i be extra cautious of anything? Any input helps

| Keep the nails trimmed in the mean time. My boy has 1 front dewclaw, I think maybe they forgot it. If they are very loose it is probably best to get them removed, they can catch on things and be ripped off which is no fun for anyone.
