Oh no , not over night .....just till afternoon.... |
Good luck. I would also not do vaccination at same time of spay. I do think you should microchip though. Even though you are always with her, and in rural area, you never know when she might accidentally get out and somebody would pick her up and take her miles away. A chip could be the best way for you to get her back. It is such an easy way to have extra assurance. |
Our female Biewer got her rabbies before being spayed. We pretreated her before getting any of her shots. She was around 2.4 pounds when she got her rabbies. Sometime around November 11 she will be getting spayed. As of now she is about 2.8 pounds. I would not recommend having shots with getting spayed at the same time. |
I would delay rabies as long as possible. If you can, ask your vet to give half a shot....it is too much vaccine for these small dogs. |
Jasmin just got spayed 3 weeks ago. She was back to herself in 2 days. The vet did an inner stitch with glue on outside. She also got her vaccines too. She is fine. Jasmin is a little over 1 and weighs 8 lbs. |
