| ![]() Our 11th month old Ana has a SENSITIVE tummy.. After all kinds of bad, I switched her to the U stew it.. She never LOVED it but she would eat but only once a day or so.. WELL she is going to doggy daycare for socialization and just never wants to eat... (and its a LONG day) EXCEPT chunks of chicken... OR even just hamburger meat nothing else.. Im not sure its the bitterness of the mix or what.. I tried switching her to Rachel Ray which she loved but didnt love her.. IM reallly looking for help on what to do.. she doesnt like rice etc.. I know she will eat when she is hungry etc..BUT I really want her to eat more and I dont mind the chicken.. I just know she needs GOOD things with it.. (PS she hates veggies) SO compassion for my picky one and some help on what to do?.. Supplement? Try another mix in?.. THANKS my PEEPS j Last edited by netters272; 09-10-2013 at 12:46 PM. | ![]() If this is going to make up more than ten percent of her diet long term (which is fine) you will need a balanced recipe. For snacking though have you tried mixing chicken with sweet potato?

| ![]() Why does she have to be on chicken only? Have you ever thought about Primal? Complete Raw Diets for Pets: Raw Frozen Formulas There is also Stella and Chewy's Stella & Chewy's - Home

| ![]() She doesnt HAVE to be on only chicken.. its just all she likes.. Ive tried sweet potato...Ive tried hamburger... turkey... We had to go with making our own food as commercial food gave her the runs SO after getting U stew it... like I said.. she liked it but would only eat once a day.. maybe.. SHE just really loves pieces of chicken so I was trying to figure out what to give her TO BALANCE that... j |

| ![]() hmm that's a tough one. maybe you can make some kind of dehydrated chicken snack that you first mix with some veggies and any vitamins she needs in a blender, reshape then dehydrate. As long as the chicken is the dominant flavor she may go for it. Sounds like you have to sneak stuff in there like with kids. Or make a chicken meatball kind of thing. Blenders are great for hiding stuff! ![]() |

Don't coax your dog to eat, offer the food and if he doesn't eat, she has to wait until the next meal.

| ![]() FABULOUS idea... so she thinks she is eating a treat as well... maybe hiding whatever is bothering her in the mix in... ILL TRY THAT AND I understand those who say dont pamper.. she will eat when she eats... but she is 5 pounds and when she goes to daycare it is a long 8 hours..AND they dont give her nutrical or anything... so I would rather get something into her for the LONG DAYS j |

| ![]() I get what your saying about not wanting to wait. Jess went through a fussy stage and I did back flips trying to figure out what to give her. I really think its a phase of control. Jess just one day stopped being fussy. Right out of nowhere. Now she would eat dirt if I put it in her bowl..Try hiding the nutrition in chicken meatballs. I had to hide water in Jess's food when she wouldnt drink out of a bowl. I did it because like you I didn't want her to dehydrate. I think in time it will change... |

| ![]() Ana is now REFUSING to drink.. I know she was sick on Friday... and I FINALLY got her to eat her food by mixing with a bit of chicken broth (low sod, no onion) but she REFUSED the pedilyte or water... OKAY and Im confessing here.. I gave her some special k flakes with cream JUST to get some water... DONT shoot me!.. I was desperate! I actually FED her by syringe this morn... I think she is still off from being sick but im overwhelmed I guess is this normal.. IM just obsessed with the feeding grin.. I was hoping for a throw kibble in the bowl kinda dog ![]() j |
