| Kefir - Has anyone given this to their Yorkie? I was just wondering if anyone has ever given their Yorkie Kefir. It's a natural antibiotic that contains abundant amounts of amino acids, essential enzymes, calcium, magnesium, etc., and also is the strongest natural remedy against allergies, and may prevent ulcers. It's a fermented drink made from kefir grains. This is what I got off of the internet. My brother got the grains and is making it himself. He and his wife drink it everyday since they started making it a month ago. He even gave it to a couple of his baby chicks that had diarrhea and it cured them almost instantly. I would like to try it myself to see if it helps my allergies. Is anybody familiar with it? |

| I have not given it to my girls, but I have the grains and make it at home. Never really considered it actually. They DO get my homemade 24 hour true yogurt tho

| Of course Lisa was the first to answer! I haven't given kefir, but I do give labne and other dairy products that have the probiotics. I only give when I happen to have some in the house and only as a treat, not really a supplement.

| I wouldn't feed it to my dogs. Fermented foods like kefir contain alcohol and ammonia, not exactly something I want to feed my dogs.
