Daisy was on omega 3s for allergies long before her PLN diagnosis but it does help with the kidney disease supposedly, although it's not proven apparently. Put it this way, I don't bother with omega 3s for the others, and wouldn't for Daisy if she didn't have severe allergies.

Yeah, she was not very concerned that Olivia wanted nothing to do with it...said that the food has enough.

I like Ark Naturals Royal Coat - it's formulated for dogs and also contains the necessary Vit E that's needed to process the Omegas. It's not a chewy, but the flavor should be appetizing to dogs, so maybe try it?

Have you tried the liquid for Cats and small breed dogs? What do you think about it vs the soft gels?

No I have not. Haven't thought about it because my diets specifically call for capsules not the liquid and I'm sure there is a reason.

I was just thinking it might be easier to give to her. What kind of things can I put it on to get her to eat it?

You can mix it in a small amount of sweet potato or pumpkin or anything else she likes.

If she takes omega 3 in her food that can be a good thing for her because when it comes to nutrition that is something really rich in it and can make her physically active.
If she doesn't take it than use something which is rich nutritionally and at the same time she eat it.

Hi we use Dr Harvey's health and shine all natural oil capsules, I just cut off the tip and use a few drops on her food, once it's absorbed in the kibble, she eats well! We tried OTC fish oil and she smelled like fish, with these no smelly pup!! Her coat shines and no scratching! I think I ordered them from Amazon!

I've heard about that Dr. Harvey's. It gets some really great reviews. How long have you been using it? Does it really make a difference?

It definitely made a difference, when I first got her she had Demedex mange and literally had sores and bald spots from scratching so much (poor baby) of course we did the med regimens as well but I believe the oils have helped a lot with hair growth and shine!! We've used it since around February.
