Dirty dirty little yorkies. Their hair is almost like humans. THey need a bath every week or two. My Mari gets all salivaed up from playing with the other dog. Her hair ends up stiff with his spit!! I hate it but they have so much fun I put up with it! |
I try for every week unless it's cold. Mine are little dust mops. I don't know where they find it, but eewwww. And they smell so good after a bath! |

1 Attachment(s) I bath Nelly once a week, and I brush her every night but her fur still looks terrible. I brush her and as soon as I am done it seems like I had not touched her at all. She is still only 4 months and her fur is still growing. Is it suppose to look greasy some times. Do you dry her with a hair dryer or let her dry on her own, I hold Nelly in a blanket until she is ready to get down on her own, should I dry her with a dryer would that make her fur look better? This is my first yorkie so I am not sure of how to quite take care of her fur yet, any help would be appreciated. |
Parker gets a bath every 7-10 days. His hair is cottony ( I guess thats the Maltese in him) so his hair looks scruffy even after I brush it. I dry him with a hair dryer bcuz he goes insane and attacks the towel if I try to towel dry him :D |
just gave bambi a bathe...! =) |
My two get a bath every week in the summer and every two weeks in the winter. By two weeks they look so bad. lol |
Bridget gets a bath every weekend and goes to the groomer every 4-6 weeks. |

I bath Logan every sunday. He starts to smell like pee by about this time. I tried using a handheld shower nosel but he hated that so I just fill up the tub and use a cup to rinse. After bath I wrap him in a towell and hold him for a few minutes to get the excess water off and then I take him into the spare bedroom and let him self dry. He runs around and rubs himself on the floor, bed, & walls until he feels dry and then I let him back into the rest of the house. |
Reese had her first bath tonight ( she started smelling like pee )...she is just over 8 weeks old, and so small I did it in the bathroom sink - she was pretty good .....but shook for awhile afterwards. I just sat infront of the fireplace and she warmed up :-) she did NOT like the blowdryer..... |
I bathe my dogs every two weeks especially now that it is cold outside. Has anyone noticed you really dont get that doggie smell in the winter or at least my dogs dont. |
