If he can eat plain chicken he is not allergic to chicken. There must be something in the dog food he is allergic too. It could be a preservative or something like that. I am allergic to chemically dried apricots but can eat fresh or sun dried ones til they come out my ears.

Why have you choose Brothers Allergy Food? Never heard if it. Seems like a complicated formula to me. What about an actual RX allergy dog food? Just wondering.

I hope your guy feels better soon.

Mine are eating chicken and butternut squash. You can use that if you'd like a firmer stool than sweet potatoes. I buy frozen cubed and boil it up. Everyone here likes it. Highly nutritious and very palatable to dogs. Can go with turkey and BN squash also.

oh ok. I didnt know about the BN squash!! I only put a little sweet potato in there not even a teaspoon, just a little for flavor!

He prob needs more than that. I use about 1/2 cup per meal of sweet potatoes or BN squash give or take depending on the dog and their weight. I don't use greenbeansbut I use broccoli and carrots in my mix as well.

Hi Deanna, I hope you quickly find what works best for your poor Peanut, and that he stops itching soon. Some of the filler you use will be driven by what he will or won't eat. Lucy refuses to eat rice or sweet potato, so we went with regular potatoes, but you will need a filler to balance out the protein.

Hi!! I gave him his breakfast this morning, I put more sweet potatoes in there to balance everything out- He licked his bowl clean! :D

Gracie loves sweet potatoes. She finally started eating right when I stopped the grain and put sweet potatoes in her food.

Peanut loves them too, I have been sticking his pill in them and he laps it up not even knowing what was inside!! :p
